Social

Bray Golf Club prides itself on having a very active social scene. We believe that having social activity in our club is imperative to creating a positive atmosphere both on the course and in the club. Our Social Committee, led by Vice Captains Colette and Seamus, work hard to ensure that there is a variety of events in our calendar through the year.

Well with the darker evenings closing in, meaning less golf it’s time to replace our Friday evening golf with something just as enjoyable and as social. On Friday 6th October, we are having a fun games night giving you lots of choice and reasons to still come up to the club on a Friday.

Friday 6th sees Texas Holdum return after an absence of a couple of years, but previously this attracted lots of members up to play and there was great fun, and don’t worry if you don’t know how, it’s easy and lots of people to show you the basics which can still be enough to win a few cents.

Also running on the night will be a darts competition and a pool competition, the dart board and pool table are recent additions so why not test your hand at these especially when all you hear around the club “my golf is dreadful” so maybe these are the sports for you. In fact, a recent quote from John Darcy was “even I can’t lose a ball playing pool”

John Bishop will have cut and rolled the table so it should be in great condition! It all kicks off at 8pm.

Then the following Friday 13th October the Social Committee are running a table quiz, teams of 4 and starting at 8pm, Billy Freeland & john Coffey are running this so the questions shouldn’t be too hard so bring your friends and family up to support the social committee who do a great job putting on events for us all.

Very importantly, our plans for New Year's Eve are well advanced. Book now to avoid the disappointment of missing Bray's best night out in the year.

So, keep yourselves free for the next few Fridays and have some fun and craic.
